12 Days of Reading by Candlelight - Advent Calendar

A limited edition advent calendar celebrating slow moments, local makers, and the joy of giving. Inside are twelve thoughtfully curated gifts, including a signed copy of a surprise novel.

Twelve days. Twelve beautifully packaged surprises.

This advent calendar is a love letter to the cosy reader and to the traditions that make this season feel special. Inspired by the Christmas Eve boxes of my childhood, this collection is designed to capture the same sense of anticipation, comfort and quiet joy.

Each day reveals a carefully chosen gift, created in collaboration with some of my favourite Australian makers and thoughtfully wrapped to be savoured slowly. Some are hand-wrapped in kraft paper and ribbon, others nestled in calico bags. Each one a moment of pause in the lead-up to Christmas.

Inside, you’ll discover:

• A signed copy of a new release novel by an Australian author, with your choice of General Fiction or Crime & Thriller
General Fiction:  For readers looking for something heartfelt and uplifting. This year's selection is a beautifully presented collection of stories, perfect for slowing down with over the holiday season.
Crime & Thriller: For readers who love mystery and suspense. This year's selection is a dark, twisty thriller that will keep you guessing until the very last page.
• Artisan-made pieces from small local businesses
• A curated selection of bookish and seasonal treasures

Every item has been handpicked (or handmade) with care to reflect the values of Reading by Candlelight: thoughtful design, local makers, and the joy of a slower pace.
